Joe is a filmmaker, photographer, and multimedia storyteller. He is a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts and is currently a first-year law student at USC Gould School of Law.
Joe’s creative work is centered on exploring the visual language of Americana. He is drawn to the mythology of the American Dream and Edward Hopper’s vision of American solitude. He is particularly interested in the nuanced, ever-changing history of Los Angeles—a focus he explored in his thesis film Elysium. His work reflects the thematic influence of Edward Hopper, Ed Ruscha, and Robert Rauschenberg, while visually drawing from Robert Capa, Saul Leiter, Ansel Adams, and Roger Deakins
